North Lamar Boulevard/Guadalupe Street Corridors

Note: In order to allow for additional coordination with CapMetro’s Project Connect Long-Term Vision Plan, the North Lamar Boulevard/Guadalupe Street Corridor Mobility Plan is currently on hold.

The City of Austin is creating a Corridor Mobility Plan for the North Lamar Boulevard/Guadalupe Street corridors, funded by the 2016 Mobility Bond. A Corridor Mobility Plan is a preliminary engineering report with recommendations to improve safety, mobility, and connectivity. The limits of the North Lamar Boulevard/Guadalupe Street Corridor Mobility Plan are between Lady Bird Lake and
US 183 for the North Lamar portion, and from 29th Street to North Lamar Boulevard for the Guadalupe portion.

North Lamar Boulevard/Guadalupe Street Corridor Mobility Plan

The goal of the North Lamar Boulevard/Guadalupe Street Corridor Mobility Plan is to make recommendations that will enhance mobility, connectivity, and safety for all users—including people who drive, walk, bike, and take transit.
The timeline for development of the North Lamar Boulevard/Guadalupe Street Corridor Mobility Plan originally indicated that additional public outreach would take place during Fall 2018, with the Corridor Mobility Plan recommendations finalized by Winter 2018. This timeline has changed.  In order to allow for additional coordination with CapMetro’s Project Connect Long-Term Vision Plan, the North Lamar Boulevard/Guadalupe Street Corridor Mobility Plan is currently on hold.
It’s anticipated that the Plan will be revisited in early 2020, but that is subject to change based on ongoing coordination efforts.
