Projects are mapped based on the best location defined by the City of Austin staff. Some projects may have multiple site locations while others don't lend themselves to an exact location (internships, tree inventories, tree distribution). Where projects aren't mappable points have been stacked along the right side of the map.

Tree planting is a priority for a healthy and resilient urban forest. It's an investment in our community's future forest. 
Planting prioritization analysis shows that 60% (87,707 trees) were planted or distributed in our highest priority areas.

Trees Planted by Property Type | 2015-2019 

The following graph shows the number of trees planted and distributed over the past four years by land type.
33,122 Trees (averaged to 1 gallon sized trees) from 2015 through 2019. 22,301 trees planted/distributed to residential properties, 4,749 trees planted on creeksides, 3,563 trees planted in the right-of-way, and 2,509 trees planted in parks & public open space.
*Not entirely funded by the Community Tree Preservation Division's activities. It has been included here for context related to tree planting programs across the City.
