This measure tracks the median City property tax as a percentage of median family income using the Travis County Appraisal District (TCAD) property value file, annually adopted City property tax rate, and median income data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Since Fiscal Year 2010-11, this percentage has stayed fairly consistent (between 1.3% and 1.8%). Fiscal Year 2021-22 decreased to 1.6%.
