The City of Austin, using Texas Health and Human Services data, measures the number and percentage of residents eligible for federal food assistance programs and determines who is currently enrolled in food assistance programs. For this dataset, the food assistance program being examined is the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. This data comes from Texas Health and Human Services. The city uses this information for performance measurement.
