This indicator measures the percent of households who are cost burdened - where monthly rent (plus utility and/or housing fuel costs) or mortgage payments (or other housing debt costs) are greater than or equal to 30% of a household's monthly income. This metric provides a more complete picture of how affordable it is to live in Austin, since housing costs are but one of the components of the cost of living.

This performance card shows the assets published in the Open Data portal that are being utilized frequently. These assets are being accessed by several methods (such as through website views, API interactions, embeds or mobile views). The target for the frequency is set at or above 1200 traffic hits per year. Each following year the target increases by 2 percent.

Percent of case-managed households that transition from homelessness into housing

The City of Austin contracts with over 500 cultural and music organizations every year to provide enriched cultural opportunities for all Austinites. The measure demonstrates the amount of people, visitors and locals alike, who experienced one of the many wonderful cultural performances or events offered by contracted culture and music organizations.

This measure tracks annual percentage of tree canopy cover based on land area.
This data is pulled directly from the Urban Forest Inventory Study conducted by the US Forestry Service in cooperation with Texas A&M.

Sidewalks are a critical part of the transportation network for the City of Austin. This measure describes the condition of sidewalks that have been examined. A full assessment of the entire sidewalk network should be complete by the end of FY2021.

This performance card shows the difference between Austin Energy's average annual system rate and the 2% affordability limit set by the Austin City Council.

This number measures how many City services are completely online and accessible for Austin residents. This measure is part of the City's effort to ensure residents can find services, understand them, access and use them, and provide feedback to the City -- across languages and all levels of ability.

Dollars-Per-Hour-Wage that an Individual Must Earn to Support a Family in Austin (Self-Sufficiency Wage) including transportation, housing, healthcare, food, and other miscellaneous costs

This measure describes the condition of streets maintained by the City of Austin Public Works Department. In fiscal year 2020, this network consisted of 7916 miles of pavement, of which 5966 miles were in fair to excellent condition.
