The 2016 Sidewalk Master Plan envisions a network of nearly 5,000 miles of sidewalks. As of January 1, 2020, over 2,700 miles (54.6%) of the network has been built.

This measure shows the percentage of the missing network built by Austin Public Works each calendar year, based on the size of the absent portion of the network at the start of the year.

The dataset Strategic Measure_Aggregated Sidewalk Construction Data shows the progress in this area for each calendar year, beginning in 2016.

The dataset Strategic Measure_Sidewalk Segment Data provides more detailed data for the nearly 300,000 segments that make up the network, both built and unbuilt.

Aggregated street condition data for FY2018 and FY2019, broken out by Council District.

This dataset contains information about school zone beacon signal zones in the city of Austin, Texas. The data is maintained by the Austin Transportation and Public Works Department's Arterial Management Division and is updated daily.

Vehicle Travel Time Reliability: Percent change in the day-to-day variability of vehicle travel time (M.A.2.b)

Sidewalks and urban trails contribute to community health by providing safe avenues for leisure-time physical activity. This measure examines what portion of new construction of these assets occurs in areas where there are low levels of such activity among residents.
