The threat of potential wildfires present a danger to residential homes, commercial areas, and natural ecosystems. It is important to track AFD Wildfire Division's mitigation efforts to help prioritize and direct resources to vulnerable areas, identify neighborhoods for community outreach efforts, and prepare for emergency response.

The dataset contains AFD dispatched fire incident records from calendar year 2021-2023.

This dataset contains AFD's Standard of Coverage (SOC) results for calendar years 2018-2021. AFD's goal is to reach the resident/incident within 8 mins (from phone pickup to first arriving unit), 90% of the time. The dataset only includes emergency incidents (priority 1-3, 4M) that fell within AFD's service area (City of Austin full purpose and contracts for service). Response time results are grouped by Response Area Polygons (RAP) --- this is a geographical boundary which often reflects the area the station/unit would be the first responding unit.
